The turn against
The world we know
Now our destiny
will be decided
We have to send
our brothers in arms
With pain in our heart
We watched them go
Will they return?
Truth is we had no choice
We'll try to shield those we can
No better world
Let this end
Mothers cry
Our boys die
But we'll stand untill the end
Well, since my fiance is in the military, this song means a lot to me. I actually cry everytime I hear it. Mostly because I know, one day, he'll walk away, to the war, and I might never see him again. And truefully, I've never loved anyone as I love him. It is my biggest fear in life to loose him.

A few pics
I think these pictures shows the essential of the gothic style. Pretty and sexy. And don't forget the corsets : D
The pictures shows the black victorian gothic style, wich includes big dresses, corsets and laces.
Gothic Makeup
Well, this part is, in NO way the most important part of the gothic lifestyle. But since I love makeup, I'm gonna show some pics of simple gothic makeup, wich is allmost impossible to fail.
The first pictur is me. With simple black eye-makeup and simple dark red lips. A classic style :)
The best way to get a "real and finished looking" goth makeup, is the red lips. You can wear nothing but mascara on your eyes, and then a dark red lipstick.
I think the lady in the video is showing it pretty well.
Anyhow, gothic makeup can be blue, red, pink, black, green - you name it - If, and ONLY if, the rest of your clothing is proper. If you wear a pink dress, never ever wear pink or blue makeup... otherwise you will look like one of those Japanese "goths" wich in no way are goths.
Actually the safest would be to use black makeup, and add a little of color, if it fits your outfit.
But who am I to judge? Some people can wear pink dresses and blue makeup and still look gothic.
Well, lets assume this blog is a beginners guide :)
And well, I must admit that I find this girl extremely beautiful and sexy. Black on black on black. And that pale white skin.

So - what is goth?
The goth subculture is a contemporary subculture found in many countries. It began in England during the early 1980s in the gothic rock scene, an offshoot of the Post-punk genre. The goth subculture has survived much longer than others of the same era, and has continued to diversify. Its imagery and cultural proclivities indicate influences from the 19th century Gothic literature along with horror films and to a lesser extent the BDSM culture.The goth subculture has associated tastes in music, aesthetics, and fashion. Gothic music encompasses a number of different styles including Gothic rock, Darkwave, Deathrock, Ethereal, Neo-Medieval and Neoclassical. Styles of dress within the subculture range from deathrock, punk and Victorian style attire, or combinations of the above, most often with dark attire, makeup and hair.
This is what Wikipedia tells us. But goth is more that just fancy hair and sex and books and music;
Goth is a whole lifestyle. Ofc you can look goth, listen to the right music and so on, but it's not really about that. It's about how you feel, and how you look at everything in life. If you look at Morticia Addams and her family, the just LOVE everything dark and gloomy. Wich is very goth - in the prejudicing way. Goth's don't have to be depressed, darkness loving selfharmers. Actually, many goths are quite happy. They look the way they wan't to, they are able to see the beauty in allmost everything, and in their world it makes no sense why somebody should not be allowed to be as he/she want's to be.
As you may have noticed, Goth is very hard to descripe. You can tell about the background, but you can never explain the "feeling". Wich is the only thing you need to be goth. Your mind at the right place. And your heart aswell. (And for god's sake - don't forget to dress properly, there's nothing worse than fake looking wannabes - Sorry to say, but if you really wanna become a goth, you have to understand their sense of beauty)
(Wich means that you have to dress properly, and look your best)
About This
Well, I finally decided to do a blog. I've been surfing around the internet, looking for some ideas, and then suddenly -It came to me;
I'm gonna write about my life, persons I find interesting, subcultures (well, only the gothic one i suppose) and quotes. There's a lack of serious information about the gothic style on the internet - so I'm going to do my best to make a blog with all information, music, fashion, makeup, tattoos, art and so on. So please join me and be patient.
